Resources for a Healthful Holiday Season!

It can be a real challenge to not get high-jacked by all the festive excitement and indulgences we are often exposed …

Life Changing Fitness
Meet Candice Briggs

Kind Words

"It's been the single best thing I’ve done wholly for myself and I can’t wait for our sessions each week. Even if I start the session feeling grumpy, tired or overwhelmed I always finish feeling strong, happy and confident. I feel better and look better but the best thing is I have gained a love and dedication to being fit that I never had before and that is by far the best result.”

Silver Groves, Byron Bay

"Candice has this unique way of inspiring you to be the healthiest version of yourself. She leads every class with a close eye to perfect technique, and holds you accountable for your own fitness journey, pushing you further then where you think you could go. The female only classes have this hilarious, gentle and caring dynamic that make me look forward to showing up for a good laugh and sweat. Since joining the classes I have felt other areas of my life align to a healthier, happier place.”

Angela McCarthy, Byron Bay

"Whether you're new to fitness groups or you're a seasoned pro who can do burpees in your sleep, Candice is the best there is! Her classes are small & personal, sweaty & painful, and TOTALLY worth it. I've never felt better."

Freya Jinny, Byron Bay

"A session with Candice will have you grunting, sweating, grimacing, groaning and laughing, and at the end of each session you'll feel great knowing you worked out HARD!"

Angela Ponsford, Byron Bay

  • Some things that can bring you closer to yourself! 💃
Exercise because you care for your body, not to punish it or out of guilt!
Let go of outdated weight goals and embrace what is a realistic body for your age and bone structure... Wake up early for the sake of witnessing the morning and the rhythm of nature!
Learn to trust yourself & your choices!
Get to know and live by your values!
Let go of trying to fit in!
Give yourself time for reflection and contemplation regularly - there’s lots of magic (and answers) in silence!
Value people and moments over being busy and forever productive... Unfollow anyone on social media you use as comparison (or stalk!)
Cultivate a consistent self care practice!
Carve out time for play regularly!
  • Some friends remind us how good it is to have structure, and direction...
others remind us how good it is to be spontaneous and playful... value both of these people highly in your life!! ✨ 📷 @paulmcneil #happyheart
  • Once upon a time in India... In between sipping chai, meditating with a man called Ganesh, and having my body pummeled by the strongest of women, I used to bask on this rock reading about the chakras (a subject I resisted for years along my metaphysical journey)... I can’t recommend time out for contemplation and reprieve from your daily living highly enough... The craziest thing happened on this trip, my second visit to India, I felt so happy, joyful and connected to this place as soon as I landed. A feeling I hadn’t come across as an adult for quite some time. I met so much light and so much darkness on this little hill top!! The temperature would go from zero degrees upon rising to mid twenties by 11am and I would end up sunburnt every day from the altitude... ✨

  • Since the completion of writing my course, which has taken the shape of an interactive booklet - I have been thinking about all of the pivotal moments along the timeline of my life, you know... the ones that blow your world as you know it right up, or that entice you down an alternative path that you would previously not have seen... and that change and shape you in a meaningful way... Here are a few of the game changers that came to mind... 🐣🐣 1. Quitting my cafe job and taking on PT full time! (that free falling off a cliff feeling!) ⛰
2. Relationship endings (every time! as much as I don’t like to admit it, I’m the deeply sensitive, romantic type - it takes me some time to process my world) 💘
3. Deciding to live on my own (for the first time in my life allowing my nervous system to feel calm in my home environment) 🏡
4. Investing in psychology! (Always!) 💆🏽‍♀️
5. Going to India at the end of last year... without question, I am a changed woman, massive heart and mind opening!! 🧘🏽‍♀️ 6. Banning myself from psychics and learning to trust in the natural unfolding of my life.. 🤷🏽‍♀️🔮
It’s nice to reflect on the story of what has brought you to this moment (to appreciate the good and bad)... it all belongs!! I always find myself doing this when I am going through change.. P.S I did a mini little retreat within my classes a couple years back, and today I came across a pic of some of the girls one Friday when we ventured for spa time instead of wine time. 😆✨ swipe left! #cuties
